Так как я предметно собираюсь готовить себя к работе в Google Zurich, то я, естественно, начал просматривать вакансии на сайте: Google Zurich Jobs.

Так, посмотрим что есть на текущую дату - 10.09.2015 
(описывать буду не все вакансии, а только те, которые заинтересовали лично меня)

Всего есть несколько разделов: Program Management, Software Engineering,  Technical Infrastructure,Sales & Account Management,  Technical Solutions,  Business Strategy,  Network Engineering.

Software Engineering (самое для меня интересное)

Front End Software Engineer

Minimum qualifications (минимальные требования)

1.  Experience coding in C, C++, Java or Python. - В этом списке мне ближе C, C++... Потом буду изучать Java
2.  Experience with HTML, JavaScript and CSS. - HTML, JavaScript, CSS - буду изучать по микрософтовским курсам.

Preferred qualifications (предпочтительные требования)

1. Proficient in front end development, has deep knowledge in JavaScript advanced features; familiar with browsers' compatibility. Опять же JavaScript и совместимость для разных браузеров
2.  Hands-on experience in solving problems. Proficient in firebug and other debugging tools. Реальный опыт решения всяких трудностей

Software Engineer, Tools and Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications

1. BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Бакалавра я за 3 года не получу, поэтому затачиваем практику!
2. Relevant internship or work experience, including development and/or test automation experience. Опыт в разработке и автоматизированном тестировании

Preferred qualifications

1. Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. Магистра и PhD я не получу, поэтому нужно как-то изловчиться с курсами, в том числе и онлайн.
2. Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux environments. Позавчера установил в первый раз Linux Mint, буду изучать, за 3 года думаю изучу))
3. Deep knowledge of Internet technologies. Глубокие знания в интернет-технологиях... чтож, накачал гигабайты литературы и видео, буду смотреть, учить, практиковать.
4. Excellent coding skills in C, C++, Java, or Python. C, C++, Java - да, Питону - нет.
5. Scripting skills in Python, Perl, Shell or another common language. Perl, Shell - да, common language - wtf???, Питону - нет.

Software Engineer, University Graduate

Minimum qualifications

1. BSc degree or equivalent practical experience.  Опять же - практика
2. Experience with Unix/Linux or Windows and/or Mac environments, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval and TCP/IP. К этой теме ещё не приступал, когда знаний станет достаточно, то конечно буду изучать.
3. Experience programming in C, C++, Java and/or Python. C, C++, Java - да, Питону - нет.
4. Experience in network programming and/or developing/designing large software systems. Network programming, developing\designing large software systems WOW. Нужно будет сделать свой стартап! :)

Preferred qualifications

1. MSc degree or PhD. Нет :(

Information Security Engineer

Minimum qualifications

1. BS in Computer Science
   or equivalent practical experience.   

Preferred qualifications

1. MS in Computer Science.
2. Relevant work experience including experience in application-level vulnerability testing and code-level security auditing, as well as experience in web application security and software development experience in C++ or Java.
3. Strong foundation in and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication and security protocols and applied cryptography.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Strong self motivation and orientation toward results.

Software Engineer

Minimum qualifications

1. BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
2. Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.
3. Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, mobile application development, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.
4. Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.

Preferred qualifications

1. Master’s, PhD degree, further education or experience in engineering, computer science or other technical related field.
2. Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
3. Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.

Technical Program Manager, Network Content Distribution

Minimum qualifications

1. BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
2. Experience in a major telecoms operator, carrier, CDN or content provider.

Preferred qualifications

1. Experience defining systems or process requirement.
2. Demonstrable Program Management or People Management experience in a technical field, within telecoms or IP networking.
3. Telecommunications or IP Networking experience. Strong technical knowledge of IP network technology, IP peering, and IP transit.
4. Technical knowledge of developing interoperability solutions, data analysis, system operations development.
5. Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
6. Exceptionally strong communication skills and a data-driven analytical approach toward solving complex challenges.

ИТОГО

Чтобы мне работать в Google Zurich я должен:

1. Великолепно знать C, C++, Java
2. Иметь, как минимум, 3-х летний опыт в разработке программ
3. Сделать свой стартап, крутой и научный.
4. Знать такие темы, как Linux, TCP\IP, Peer-to-peer, машинное обучение, компьютерные науки.
